How we keep people safe.
Waterfront works with children, young people and adults at risk. This page sets out our commitments, our policies and where to raise a concern.
Our commitment
We are committed to creating safe, inclusive and empowering environments where every individual can build the confidence, skills and support they need to thrive physically, mentally and socially.
Our registered charitable objects commit us to serving the public without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, nationality, age, disability, race or of political, religious or other opinions. That is not a statement of intent — it is the constitution this charity operates under.
Raising a concern
If you are worried about the safety or wellbeing of a child or adult connected to Waterfront, tell us. Call 0116 251 1221 or email info@waterfrontsea.org.
If someone is in immediate danger
Do not wait for us. Call 999.
To report a concern about a child in Leicester, call the city council's Duty and Advice Service on 0116 454 1004, open 24 hours. A qualified social worker will talk it through with you. Outside the city, contact the relevant local authority.
The NSPCC helpline is 0808 800 5000, and Childline is 0800 1111.
